Our apartment is a great location for skiing, just 80m from the main chairlift Telesiege de Jeux at Valmeinier 1800. The resort links to Valmienier 1500 and Valloire to offer 150 kms of pistes.
The slopes are very well maintained and have an extensive network of cannons to ensure the maximum number of pistes remain open. The lifts normally open the week before Christmas and close in mid April. The cost for a six day adult pass is 205 euros for the 2018 /19 season.
Due to its altitude, the resort has a very good snow record. Under normal conditions we can ski right back to our ski locker.
The beginners area is about 200 metres from the apartment, has a gentle slope and free drag lift to get you started. Next, progress to the short lift at the front of the resort – this will take you to gentle Green and Blue runs. There is a very good (ESF) ski school nearby. Quite a few instructors can speak English, and they can cater for a full ski week, private or group lessons.
You will quickly progress to Blue and Red runs. The most up to date information for open runs is shown on the board opposite the main chairlift.
